I asked you in Part 1 to choose some markets to sell to, a subject that perhaps you are already interested in or are even passionate about.
Done that? - Good.
The next thing you need is some sort of presence on the web. You could set up a website, but if you have never done that before I recommend getting a 'blog'. In simple terms a blog is like an online diary, but it’s also a bit like a single page website that is very easy to setup and also happens to be fr-ee!
Just visit one of the big blog providers such as www.blogspot.com and register for your fr-ee blog.
Then you can start making it look pretty by adding pictures or even videos, but most importantly you need to write regular good articles about your chosen subject.
Next register will all the search engines you can find, but do not register more than once with the same search engine, your blog might get blacklisted. Also register with blog directories.
Join message boards appropriate to your chosen subject and insert your blog url link into your signature. Do not blatantly advertise your blog on the message boards, just join in with conversations so if posters are interested they can click on your sig link.
You should also join one or two traffic exchange programs that allow you to earn visitor credits by browsing other peoples blogs. Traffic exchanges do not really provide real visitors that are interested in your blog and should not be wholly relied upon. But they are good for starting a new blog when you have no traffic whatsoever. ;) Another good source of free traffic is Safe Lists, you should try both Safe Lists and Traffic Exchanges and see which works out.
Now, it will take time depending on how much effort you put into it. But eventually as your blog picks up more traffic, your site will rise in the search engines for certain search terms.
Remember - organic traffic always rules. That is natural keyword based traffic where someone has typed in keywords of interest into a search engine and found your site. So when you write your articles on your blog, be sure to add words that your intended visitors would search for!
There are also other ways to make money that don't require having a website or blog. One of the most popular is getting paid for taking Surveys for commercial companies. Be warned though, the fr-ee Survey programs do not normally work as the rewards are usually worth next to nothing. You are much better off finding a reputable Survey program that actually demands a fee to sign up. These Survey programs can be VERY profitable.
That’s enough information for now, get a Blog and start Blogging!
In Part 3 of Making Money Online I will reveal some very powerful tips on how to monetize your blog.
Best of Success
